Kelburn’s Yurts Terms & Conditions

Booking and Payment 

All bookings must be made by persons over 18 years of age.

Full payment for your stay must be made at time of booking.

Acceptance of these terms and conditions is assumed at time of booking so please read them carefully before making payment.

We reserve the right at all times, without statement of reasons, to refuse a booking.

Kelburn will confirm the booking via e-mail.

The confirmation and details should be checked immediately on receipt for any errors.  Any discrepancies must always be notified by email or phone within 10 days following the date of the confirmation and in any case before the start of the stay.

Group Bookings 

Kelburn reserves the right to refuse group bookings if we feel this may be detrimental to other guests staying at the site.

When booking on the behalf of other people, it is the responsibility of the person making the booking to share these Terms and Conditions and any supporting information with the other guests.

What’s Included with your Booking? 

  • Rental of your Yurt
  • Bed linen and Towels for the number of guests indicated in your booking.
  • Access to the Visitor Centre and grounds of Kelburn Estate
  • Free Parking for guests at the Glamping Site
  • Full Use of the Bothy Facility, with includes communal living and kitchen facilities, toilets and showers.
  • Cleaning of unit on departure, but please leave your yurts as you would like to find it.
  • A starter supply of firewood and kindling (more is available to purchase if required)

Check in/Check out 

Check in is between 3.00pm and 6.00pm. Check out is 11.00am
Later arrivals can be catered for but must be pre-organised and arrangements can be put in place for your arrival.

Occupancy 

Occupancy of a Standard Yurt must not exceed 4 people including infants.

Occupancy of a Premium Yurt must not exceed 6 people including infants.

We reserve the right to decline accommodation and/or ask you to leave the site at any time if your numbers exceed this.  The booking will then be deemed cancelled with full loss of payment.

Dogs are Welcome 

Well behaved Dogs are welcome at Kelburn yurts.

All our yurts can accommodate a maximum of 2 dogs.

Please note, however, 2 large dogs are not suitable for the smaller 4 person yurts. 

Some soft furnishings may be removed from your yurt if you are bringing dogs.

Dogs must be kept on leads at all times when leaving your yurt.

Be aware and considerate of other dog owners and other yurt guests when bringing your dog.

There is a supplementary charge of £10/night/dog.

Changes to Booking 

We will always do our best to facilitate alteration requests where possible but cannot guarantee any changes will be possible.

Cancellation/Refund Policy 

Any Cancellation made more than 60 days ahead of your arrival date will receive a 75% refund.

Any Cancellation made between 60 days and 30 days ahead of your arrival date will receive a 50% refund.

If you cancel within 30 days of your stay you shall not be entitled to a refund.

In all cases of cancellation we will attempt to offer you new dates for your stay but this can not be guaranteed.

If you choose not to stay for the full duration of your booking you shall not be entitled to a refund.

In extreme circumstances Kelburn reserves the right to close the site.  In that instance Kelburn will offer a full refund or alternative dates as compensation.

Weddings and Private Events 

The Yurt site is located close to our Pavilion Events Venue, which hosts weddings and private events throughout the year.

These dates will be listed on the booking website to make you aware that there may be loud music.

Being Respectful to Other Guests 

Guests must be respectful to other guests on the site.

Loud noise and nuisance will not be tolerated at any time and all noise must be kept to a minimum after 11pm.

Guests who in our reasonable opinion are causing nuisance may be required to immediately leave the site without a refund.

Breakages 

Any damage or breakages must be reported to Kelburn Management before checkout.

Small accidental damages or breakages of a minor nature will not normally be charged but anything deemed significant by Kelburn management must be paid for by arrangement.

Complaints 

Any complaints must be made known to us immediately so we can rectify any issues where possible to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Refunds will not be entertained at the end of your stay due to unreported complaints that could have been resolved if brought to our attention ahead of time.

Personal Belongings 

Kelburn accept no liability for any belongings left in the Yurts at any time.

If you have valuable items that you wish to leave in a secure place, please let us know and we will store these for you but still at your own risk.

Smoking 

Smoking is not permitted inside the Yurts under any circumstances.

Grounds and Visitor Centre 

Access to the visitor centre and grounds are included in your stay.

The visitor centre is open 10am to 6pm, but please do not access this area outside of these hours as there is private housing there.  However, you are welcome to walk the wider glen and grounds at any time.
