Paint a pebble
Find the best pebble you can in your garden and paint it, using our castle for inspiration! Think about the bright colours and interesting characters found on our walls.
Bring your pebble along with you next time you visit, and you can put it in your favourite spot at Kelburn!

Write to our magical friends
Our magical friends, who live the Secret Forest, love to receive mail! Why not write a letter to our Giant, our Fairies, our Witch, or Mr and Mrs Teeny Weeny?
You can send the letters to: The Secret Forest, Kelburn Castle and Country Centre, Fairlie, KA29 0BE, or bring your letter with you next time you visit!
Collage
Think about the last time you came to Kelburn. Did you see the birds or the waterfall? Did you see our very tall trees or the colourful flowers? Did you have fun? Did it make you happy? Think about the colours you saw. Then, grab some old magazines and choose some images and words which reflect your memories, and stick them all down on a sheet of paper!
Share your collage with us on Facebook, or bring your masterpiece with you next time your visit!

Write a story
Are the cowboys in our Saloon up to no good? Or maybe there’s a mermaid who lives by our waterfall? Or perhaps Mr and Mrs Weenie from the Secret Forest have been on a secret adventure?
Share your stories with us on Facebook, or bring your masterpiece with you next time your visit!
Make a castle
There’s LOTS of castles in Scotland. Why not do some research online and see how many you can find? If you could build a castle, how would you build it? Who would you build it for? Maybe you’d add a slide or a landing pad for a space rocket? Try making your perfect castle from cardboard and papier-mâché, or use your Lego, or draw one instead?
