Carnival Now Closed

The Kelburn team are glad to report that the brave and good that went into the Carn

ival of Horrors did come out.  Amid fears of Sam Huinns powers the fearless grounds team did as much as they could to ensure no souls were taken and by sunrise on the 1st of November it is believed the forest is clear of its curse.

Kelburn’s events team would like to thank all that came along to this event.  Country Centre Manger Jo Turner describes it “as a creative experience designed to stimulate the imagination, heighten the senses and engage with the outdoors”.   The experience catered for an overwhelming 800 people per night who took to the paths not quite sure what to expect.  The production involved in hosting an outdoor event at this time of year comes with its challenges and ensuring artwork,

installations, sound and lighting can endure the elements is vital.  However, the weather couldn’t have been better, blessed with dark clear skies and although cold once the heart rates were elevated this was soon forgotten.

Many of the visitors commented using social media and the event organisers appreciate the feedback as it helps to develop the product and continue to meet the customer expectation.  Lorna Blackwood certainly seemed to enjoy it posting “what a great night, not laughed and screamed so much in a long time, well worth it. Well done Kelburn can’t wait till next year”.  The full production team agree too and are already collaborating on what curse may befall in a years a time.

Caitlin Fisher-Draeger who led the creative production of the event had many moments to share with the team and as an American involved in her first Haunt in Scotland she was delighted with the responses and engagement from the audience.  Kelburn’s in house team worked together with long standing event partners Eureka Edinburgh to provide once again a quality interactive experience for our valued customer.

So what will next year bring?  Will you be brave enough to venture out after dark?  Follow us on facebook and Instagram to see our full event listing and be watchful for what we have in store for you.
